Fall 2014 OSBA Conference

The OSBA fall conference will be held on October 25th, 2014 at the OSU Extension Center. The location is 930 N. Portland Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73107. Registration will be at 8:00AM and the meeting will start at 9:00AM. Donuts and coffee will be served. We will also be having a “pot luck” dinner. Drinks will be provided by OSBA.
 
Our featured speaker will be JD Hill with Hilltop Gardens LLC of Muldrow, OK. We will be having our annual business meeting and officer elections at this time. The officer positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are open to any OSBA member and will be determined by a vote at this meeting. Please submit your nomination(s) to any of the present officers and the nominations will be forwarded to the nomination committee. Please let me know of any new business items that you would like to submit to the membership.
 
Kacy Cole from Dadant will be present and will bring any items that you pre-order from the Paris, TX location. Place your order by October 23rd and mention that the order is to be sent with Kacy to the OSBA conference in OKC. Beekeeping Etc. will also be a vendor present at this conference. We will be having our fundraising auction toward the end of the meeting. If you have an items that you would like to donate to the auction, please bring these items for the auction table. You may also want to donate to the door prize table.

Thanks for visiting the "Oklahoma State Beekeepers Association" website. We are represented by beekeeping organizations across the State of Oklahoma. Our purpose is to promote the art of beekeeping through good hive management, encourage pollination of crops using honey bees, promote beekeeping friendly legislation, and provide a source of information relating to honey bees and beekeeping throughout the United States.
